How OpenWater and Nimble AMS work together
Trade Associations and Membership Societies are migrating to Nimble AMS and Salesforce as their single source of information. When using OpenWater to collect nominations for awards, submissions for a call for papers, or votes for a board of elections our integration ensures a seamless user experience for your members. When the information is processed it is also sent back to Nimble AMS where it can be sliced and diced in the Report Builder.
Your members login using the credentials they already have with your organization. After being validated, they will be sent over to OpenWater with their information pre-populated. This is a true single sign on in the sense that if a member is already logged into your platform they will seamlessly be logged into OpenWater. When they sign out of OpenWater they will also be logged out of Nimble AMS.
Member Specific Pricing
If you use OpenWater to charge submission fees, we can make use of the customer information and membership status to help determine their pricing.
Optional Support for Non-Member Account Access
Some use cases need both Member and non-Members to access OpenWater. We have you covered with a toggle setting you can use on a workflow by workflow basis to enable guest access.
We can harness the power of the Salesforce Report Builder right inside an OpenWater application. One of the most common uses of lookups are to ensure authors associated with a conference abstract are correctly identified. See this in action:
Push Back
The data is all pushed back to an unmanaged package. Your team can use Salesforce Flow to further transfer the data into other parts of your salesforce instance.

Nimble AMS is cloud based software built on top of Salesforce. We support both pre-Lightening and Lightening editions.
What APIs do you use?
We use the Salesforce OAUTH / REST API.
Do You Use a Bridge?
Yes, OpenWater has developed its own Salesforce / AppExchange Bridge. You do not need a separate Salesforce license to integrate with OpenWater.
What is the timeline / cost?
Integrations are typically completed within 2 weeks and use our integrations hub. There is no labor cost for the initial SSO and Pushback setup. The integrations hub is very powerful and allows for incredibly complex integrations without the need for custom code. We can consult you on building lookups and advanced flows (typically 10 hours per advanced integration). We also offer free training for your Salesforce admin, customizations beyond what is provided in the integrations hub and training will incur additional consulting fees.
