Why OpenWater?

OpenWater makes it easy for our applicants to submit their grant applications. Our Judges have found the program to be an efficient and easy tool that lets them decide on the grant awards without having to reach out to staff for additional support. OpenWater has been a gift to us as we continue to support our grant recipients and judges.

When we came to OpenWater our goal was to let our chapters use OpenWater’s Application and Review platform. Through OpenWater we enabled our chapters to have their own admin giving our local chapter groups the ability to manage their own awards program while also coordinating entries to the national program. Moving to OpenWater presented an opportunity for our team of two to reduce our administrative effort with regards to coordinating regional judging as those applicants were nominated to the national level.

OpenWater has helped to make our awards programs easy to pick up each year. I like that we can dummy previous sites and just tweak and manipulate with new data etc. and then push out for a new season. Customer Service in particular – is amazing at helping me out and working out any issues I may have. I think having a strong customer service base is key when working on award programs that often have tight deadlines and external judges who are not used to working in the system.
